About doing things you don’t like to do

My message to my sons

When you are young, your job is to acquire knowledge. That’s why we send you to school. You may not enjoy school, I don’t expect you to (because neither did I!) But think about this: You only need to do this for about 10–14 years (or more if you like!) Do it well, and you will have the power to choose what you want to be or do in the next 40 years or more. It’s a good trade off!

Learn to do things you don’t like to do when you are young, so you can do the things you like when you are old!
